The hottest team in North Carolina at the moment isn't the Duke Blue Devils or even the preseason #1 North Carolina Tar Heels. Instead, that distinction goes to the North Carolina State Wolfpack. The Wolfpack are 14-4 on the season and have won three straight games and six of their last seven games. On Saturday afternoon, NC State closed an overtime win with four straight stops on the defensive end en route to an 83-81 overtime win at home over 16th ranked Miami. Ernest Ross finished with career-highs in points with 17 and rebounds with nine. It was Ross' layup with under 30 seconds left in overtime that sealed the win. Terquavion Smith led NC State with 20 points and DJ Burns had a complete game with 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-best seven assists.
