The Miami Redhawks (7-10, 1-3) will host the Northern Illinois (5-12, 1-3) in MAC action. Last season Miami won both head-to-head meetings by three points each time. These teams were selected to finish at the bottom of the conference in the Preseason Coaches Poll.
Northern Illinois has faced the 120th most challenging schedule in the nation and has not fared well against it. NIU lost nine of its 13 non-conference games and is 1-3 in the MAC. NIU lost to Akron (76-51) and Buffalo (80-62), before earning a win over Central Michigan (73-54) last Tuesday. On Saturday, the Huskies fell to 1-3 in the MAC with an 84-67 loss to Toledo.

The Huskies are 310th according to KenPom. They are 323rd in adjusted offensive efficiency and 253rd in adjusted defensive efficiency. Keshawn Williams, a 6'3 junior, leads the team with 17.9 ppg. As a unit the Huskies are in the bottom-third most major statistical categories.
