Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Wildcard Edition

The William & Mary Tribe (8-10, 7-8-1 ATS, 7-9 O/U) collide with the Charleston Cougars (18-1, 10-7-1 ATS, 6-12 O/U) in a CAA showdown on Monday evening. The Tribe earned a road win against UNC Wilmington last time out. The Cougars stayed hot with a home win against Elon in their previous action. Charleston defeated William & Mary in both meetings last season. 

The William & Mary Tribe are striving for a third straight victory. They beat Hampton by an 81-65 score two games ago and were marked 13-point dogs in a narrow 69-67 road win against a good UNC Wilmington squad on Saturday to improve to 3-2 in conference play. William & Mary has now won three out of their last four games and are playing better defense in the recent string of wins. They have covered the spread in three out of their last four clashes. 

Anders Nelson has accumulated 15 points in back-to-back games. The senior guard has improved his season average to 11.4 PPG and 4.7 APG. Gabe Dorsey has collected at least 13 points in two out of his last three performances including 21 points against Hofstra. The sophomore guard has posted an average of 10.6 PPG. Noah Collier is having a great season. The junior forward has recorded six double-do ubles and enters with an average of 9.2 PPG accompanied by 8.5 RPG. 

The Tribe are pegged 278th in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and has logged a poor 1-7 mark on the road including losses to Pittsburgh and NC State. William & Mary is averaging 69.1 points on the year, ranking them 250th overall. They have 66 or fewer points in five out of their last six games and are allowing an average of 68.4 points, positioning them 159th.
