California Golden Bears (3-14) vs. Washington Huskies (10-8)

Another frenzy Saturday college basketball is upon us, so we are breaking down the Pac-12 Conference showdown from Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, Washington, where the California Golden Bears square off against the Washington Huskies with the tip-off at 6:00 PM ET.

The Huskies open as 9.5-point home favorites with a total of 130.0 points. They swept a two-game set against California in 2021-22 and shoot for their fourth straight victory over the Golden Bears.

After a couple of straight wins at home over Colorado 80-76 and Stanford 92-70, the California Golden Bears (3-14; 7-10 ATS; 2-4 conf.) suffered a 66-51 defeat at Washington State this past Wednesday. Cal trailed by just a point at halftime but scored only 21 in the second half, finishing with a poor 35.8 field-goal percentage.

The Golden Bears went 5-for-20 from beyond the 3-point line against the Cougars. Marsalis Roberson led the way for Cal with 11 points and three rebounds, while Grant Newell, Kuany Kuany, and Obinna Anyanwu notched seven points apiece. Devin Askew (16.1 PPG, 3.6 RPG) missed his third straight game due to an undisclosed injury and is questionable to play against the Huskies.

Cal is No. 251 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 206 in the KenPom rankings. The Golden Bears score 100.5 points per 100 possessions (239th in the nation) and allow 103.4 points in return (175th). They are 308th in 2-point percentage (47.4%), 317th in 3-point percentage (30.9%), and 354th in assists per game (10.1).
