The Toronto Maple Leafs face the Boston Bruins with both teams looking to build off strong seasons. The Maple Leafs have a 26-10-7 record and are in second place in the Atlantic Division behind the Bruins who have a 32-5-4 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games. Both teams are looking to remain near the top of their division and the Eastern Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Maple Leafs are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.35 goals per game. Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares have scored 58 goals and 82 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Michael Bunting, Calle Jarnkrok, and Alexander Kerfoot have combined for 28 goals and 40 assists while defensemen Morgan Rielly and Rasmus Sandin have added three goals and 31 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Maple Leafs, allowing only 2.60 goals per game with only eight goals in the last four games. Mark Giordano and Timothy Liljegren have combined for 5.2 defensive point shares and 126 blocked shots while Justin Holl, Rasmus Sandin, and Morgan Rielly have combined for 5.4 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Matt Murray has been great with a .919 save percentage and a 2.48 goals-against average on 519 shots.
