The Los Angeles Angels and Seattle Mariners face off on Monday in an MLB showdown at Angel Stadium.
The Mariners come into this game with a 62-54 record overall but they are coming off a loss on Sunday. The offense only scored three runs and that led to the two runs defeat at the hands of the Texas Rangers. The Mariners pitching has been the strength this year giving up 3.91 runs per game which is 5th in the league. Julio Rodriguez is back with the team and he has hit 18 home runs and driven in 58 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Angels who sit with a 51-64 record overall but they have won two games in a row over the Minnesota Twins. The Angels biggest issue this season has been the offense and they are currently averaging only 3.86 runs per game which is 25th in the league. Mike Trout is still dealing with a back injury and it’s unclear if he will play again this season.
