For the second time in three days, the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings will lock horns in the Western Conference showdown at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, and the tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET.
Last Wednesday, the Kings routed the Rockets 135-115 as 9-point home favorites with a total of 236.5 points. Sacramento opens as a 9.5-point home fave this time around, while the totals are listed at 238.0 points.
The Houston Rockets (10-31; 16-22-3 ATS) extended their losing streak to eight games last Wednesday. They kept it close for most of the game, but the Rockets fell apart down the stretch and yielded a whopping 41 points in the fourth quarter. Houston finished with a nice 30/14 assist-to-turnover ratio and a 45.8 field goal percentage, while Jalen Green led the way with 26 points and five rebounds.
Alperen Sengun had ten points, ten rebounds, and ten assists last Wednesday, becoming the youngest center in NBA history with a triple-double. Kenyon Martin Jr. notched 21 points and five boards, while Eric Gordon tallied 19 points and a couple of assists.
“It was a combination of missing good and open shots,” Rockets coach Stephen Sil as said about the final quarter. “And then not doing what we needed on the defensive end. … We have to figure out a way to close these games.”

The Rockets have only won one of their last 14 games overall. They own the worst record in the NBA at the moment. Houston ranks 29th in the NBA in adjusted offensive efficiency (109.5 points per 100 possessions) and 28th in adjusted defensive efficiency (116.7). Kevin Porter Jr. (19.2 PPG, 5.6 APG) suffered a foot injury last time out and is questionable to play against the Kings on Friday.
