Arizona Wildcats (14-2) vs. Oregon State Beavers (7-9)

The 2022-23 college basketball season continues Thursday, January 12, with the Arizona Wildcats taking on the Oregon State Beavers in the Pac-12 Conference showdown at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon.

The tip-off is set for 11:00 PM ET, and Arizona shoots for its sixth straight victory over Oregon State. The Wildcats open as huge 15.5-point favorites, while the totals are listed at 143.5 points.

The Arizona Wildcats fell to 14-2 SU and 6-9-1 ATS on the season following a 74-61 home loss to the Washington State Cougars. The Wildcats stopped their eight-game winning streak and dropped to 3-2 in the conference play, failing to satisfy the odds as 12.5-point favorites. They shot just 31.7% from the field (4-for-25 from deep) and 60.7% from the charity stripe (17-for-28) while posting a 9/8 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Junior forward Azuolas Tubelis dropped 29 points on the Beavers to go with 14 rebounds and a couple of assists, but it wasn’t enough, as the rest of the pack had an awful day in the office. Junior guard Kerr Kriisa went 3-for-13 from the field (2-for-11 from deep), sophomore center Oumar Ballo missed seven of his ten free-throw attempts, while the Wildcats’ second unit combined for a paltry two points.

Arizona is No. 9 in the latest AP Top 25 Poll and No. 10 in the NCAA NET Rankings. KenPom has the Wildcats at No. 11, as they rank fifth in the country in adjusted offensive efficiency (117.5 points per 100 possessions) and 64th in Adjusted defensive efficiency (96.3). Arizona makes 58.9% of its 2-pointers (8th in the nation) and 34.5% of its 3-pointers (159th) while handing out 19.8 assists per game (2nd).
