The Winnipeg Jets face the Buffalo Sabres with both teams looking to build off of promising seasons. The Jets have a 26-14-1 record and are in second place in the Central Division while the Sabres have a 20-17-2 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games, they are in the middle of the Atlantic Division. Both teams look to continue to improve in their divisions and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Jets are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.34 goals per game including 16 goals in the last three games. Kyle Connor, Pierre-Luc Dubois, and Mark Scheifele have scored 63 goals and 73 assists to lead the top two lines but the entire offense has been great. Blake Wheeler, Adam Lowry, and Cole Perfetti have combined for 22 goals and 50 assists while defenseman Josh Morrissey has added seven goals and 39 assists to open up the offense.

The offense has been led the way but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.68 goals per game. Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo have combined for 5.4 defensive point shares and 106 blocked shots while Brenden Dillon, Nate Schmidt, and Neal Pionk have combined for 5.9 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. Additionally, goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has been great with a .924 save percentage and a 2.42 goals-agai nst average on 986 shots.
