The UC Davis Aggies (8-7, 5-8 ATS, 7-6 O/U) take on the Cal State Northridge Matadors (3-12, 5-8 ATS, 5-8 O/U) in a Big West battle on Wednesday evening. The Aggies found the win column with a home victory against CSU Bakersfield last time out. The Matadors were clobbered by UC Riverside in their previous game. UC Davis went 2-0 against UC Northridge last season.

The UC Davis Aggies enter this one with confidence. They finally snapped a four-game losing streak with their first conference win of the season on Saturday. The Aggies lost the opener against Hawaii, followed by a defeat against UC Irvine in the second Big West game. UC Davis answered with a convincing 67-48 home win against CSU Bakersfield on Saturday to cover the 8.5-point spread. The Aggies have only covered the spread in one out of their last six games. 

Elijah Pepper is one of the best players in the conference, eclipsing the 20 points mark on six occasions this season. The junior guard wasn’t at his best in Saturday’s win and has delivered an average of 18.7 PPG and 5.9 RPG. Ty Johnson scored 25 points in the win against UC Irvine last week. The sophomore guard has scored double-digits in all but two games and has posted an averag e of 16 PPG and 5.1 RPG. Robbie Beasley III has netted double-digits in just two of his last five games. The sophomore guard is averaging 10.1 PPG and is shooting 45% from deep.

The Aggies are marked 171st in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are 1-5 on the road. UC Davis has not been nearly as productive in the offensive end recently, collecting 68 or fewer points in four out of their last five bouts and is scoring an average of 76.9 points on the year, ranking them 78th. They are allowing an average of 71.7 points, placing them 251st in the country.
