San Diego Padres -2.5 (-108) over Washington Nationals

This game originally opened' at -120 on the standard -1.5 run line. It almost immediately jumped to around -155, and it's understandable as to why. There is simply too wide of a talent gap between these teams. Last night was quite the letdown spot after Friday's emotional revenge win for Soto, and something that should be taken with a grain of salt. They're in a great position for the NL wildcard, but do need to bounce back.'

After a shaky start with a series against the Dodgers, they closed out their previous series against the Giants by scoring 20 runs across the last 2 games, and dominated to begin this series. Along with Soto, Josh Bell and Brandon Drury have fit in nicely with Manny Machado. They'll need to continue to do so with the recent news of Fernando Tatis Jr's suspension. While that is a huge story on its own, it won't be affecting this game. Instead, it will be the other aforementioned hitters facing the league's worst pitching staff.'
