The 2022-23 NBA season continues Tuesday, January 10, with the Dallas Mavericks taking on the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference battle at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The tip-off is set for 10:30 PM ET, and the Mavs aim for their second straight victory over LA after beating the Clippers 103-101 in their first meeting of the season back in November.
The Mavericks are without Maxi Kleber (hamstring) and Dorian Finney-Smith (groin), while Luka Doncic (ankle) is listed as questionable. On the other side, the Clippers miss Luke Kennard (calf), and Paul George (hamstring) is questionable to play.
The Dallas Mavericks (23-18; 14-25-2 ATS) are coming off Sunday’s 120-109 defeat at the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was their second loss in three games, and the Mavs failed to cover a 4-point spread. Luka Doncic wasn’t available, so Christian Wood led the way with a 27-point, 17-rebound double-double. Spencer Dinwiddie notched 21 points and eight assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. had 19 points and six rebounds.
The Mavericks made just 42.5% of their field goals at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. They also missed nine of their 42 attempts from the free-throw line and scored just 24 points in the paint. The Mavs played lousy defense, too, allowing 56 points in the paint and forcing just eight turnovers.

Dallas heavily leans on Luka Doncic, who’s tallying 34.0 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game this season. Christian Wood is posting 18.2 points and 8.2 boards per game, while Spencer Dinwiddie is adding 16.2 points and 5.2 assists a night.
