Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas

Georgia will be looking to extend its four-game winning streak when it travels to Florida on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are coming off their best win of the season, beating No. 22 Auburn on Wednesday night. Florida is riding a three-game losing streak after coming up short against Texas A&M in a 66-63 final on Wednesday.

This game is going to mean a little extra to both teams, as Georgia head coach Mike White will face his former team for the first time. The Bulldogs have won four straight games under White, who left Florida last March to take the Georgia job. He is off to a great start with his new team, as their three losses this season have come against Wake Forest, UAB and Georgia Tech. Georgia picked up its biggest win of the young season on Wednesday, taking down No. 22 Auburn as a 6.5-point underdog. The Bulldogs had previously recorded wins against Notre Dame, Chattanooga and Rider, so they are on a four-game winning streak coming into this matchup.

Georgia has been a solid offensive team this season outside of turning the ball over, as it is No. 295 nationally in turnover rate. Some of those issues came be attributed to a fairly inexperienced roster that is playing under a first-year head coach. The Bulldogs have atoned for those mistakes by shooting nearly 35% from 3-point range and ranking No. 25 in offensive rebounding rate. They are facing a Florida defense that is No. 26 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. Senior guard Terry Roberts, who scored 26 points in the win against Auburn, leads Georgia with 15.0 points, 4.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game. Junior guard Kario Oquendo is also in double figures, averaging 14.5 points.
