The ultimate week of the 2022 NFL season is upon us, and the Minnesota Vikings head to Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, to square off against the Chicago Bears in the NFC North showdown. Minnesota is a 7.5-point road fave at the moment, while the totals sit at 43.0 points.
The Vikings are 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS in their previous five meetings with the Bears. Back in Week 5, Minnesota defeated Chicago 29-22 but failed to cover an 8.5-point spread at home.
The Minnesota Vikings fell to 12-4 SU and 6-9-1 ATS on the season following a heavy 41-17 defeat at the Green Bay Packers in Week 17. It was a one-way street, as the Packers built a 27-3 halftime lead and held Minnesota scoreless until they put 41 on the scoreboard. The Vikings didn’t stand a chance despite outgaining the Packers 346-315 in total yards.
Minnesota lost the turnover battle 4-0. Kirk Cousins went 18-of-31 for 205 yards, a touchdown, and three interceptions. He also lost a fumble to complete a horrible day in the office. Justin Jefferson, who leads the NFL in receptions (124) and receiving yards (1,771), had one catch for 15 yards, while K.J. Osborn led the way with seven receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.
“I just didn’t play well enough tonight,” Cousins said. “Just need to play better, that’s the bottom line.”

The Vikings have already clinched the NFC North title. They’ll probably enter the postseason as the No. 3 seed. The Vikings will finish second in the NFC if they beat Chicago and Arizona defeats San Francisco which seems unlikely. Still, the Vikings have yet to lose two straight games in 2022 and will be motivated to extend this trend. Justin Jefferson had recorded 35 receptions for 479 yards and two touchdowns across three games before that dud in Week 17, so keep your eyes on him.
