San Diego reached the .500 mark with a win in their last game and in a West Coast Conference clash host a Pacific team that has been playing well as of late.

Pacific has won four of their last five games and they got their first conference win in their last game. They are 1-1 in WCC play and one game under .500 (8-9) on the season.

San Diego had lost two in row before their first conference win in their last game. Like Pacific, the Toreros are 1-1 in the WCC and last season they beat the Tigers twice.

After only scoring 49 points in losing their WCC opener Pacific was much better on offense in their last game where they were at home in a 78-72 win over Loyola Marymount. While they had 18 turnovers, they shot 50% from the floor and held the Lions to 41.9% shooting and 16% (4-25) shooting from beyond the 3-pt arc. Nick Blake came off the bench to go for a season high 23 points and Keylan Boone was the only Pacific starter in double figures with 10 points. Pacific covered the spread as a 4.5-point underdog and they had failed to cover the spread in their previous three games.

On the season the Tigers are averaging 74.1 ppg and giving up an average of 73.2 ppg. Boone (11.5 ppg) is one of three players averaging in double figures and he had averaged 16.7 ppg in the three games before the last one where he had 10 points. Luke Avdalovic (10.4 ppg) only ha d seven points in the last game and he has failed to score in double figures in three of the last four games including the last two. The Tigers are a guard-oriented team, as FW Sam Freeman is the leading scorer for frontcourt players and is only averaging 3.7 ppg. On the season Pacific is 4-2 on the road.
