Best NHL player prop bets for Wednesday, 1/4

We're on a solid 6-2 run the last few nights, including +165 and +155 plays. Let's keep it rolling with tonight's light 3-game slate. Just like we enjoy providing bonus plays on jam-packed nights, we're not going to force plays when the matchups just aren't there. If you're one who just wants some action as soon as the games start, checkout Jesper Bratt of the New Jersey Devils to record an assist. You could then roll over those winnings for our official pick, which takes place in the nightcap out west.

Along with our player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Jason Robertson over 1.5 points (+100)

The Dallas Stars will be back on the ice tonight looking to bounce back from their loss to the Kings in Los Angeles last night. They'll be in Anaheim to take on the Ducks, which should provide them a great opportunity to do just that. In their first meeting against them, they took care of business, cruising to a 5-0 win. A primary factor in that victory was young stud Jason Robertson. He notched a hat trick after scoring a goal in each period and looks primed for another big night, and even scored a goal in the Stars loss last night. We're anticipating him to be a part of multiple goals this time around given that the Ducks are just as weak defensively as the first time these teams met.'

They're still allowing the most goals per game, and just lost 4-1 at home to a poor Philadelphia Flyers team. Also look for Robertson to grab 1 of these points on the power play. The Ducks have committed the 2nd-most penalties in the NHL while having the NHL's worst 3rd-worst penalty kill. Meanwhile, the Stars have been great with the man advantage, ranking as the 3rd-best power play unit. Even still, Robertson can get it done at any stage of the game; his 55 points are tied for the 3rd-most in the NHL. Lock in teammate Miro Heiskanen to record an assist in the process, but also grab the better payout with Robertson to record multiple points.''
