The (6-7 SU, 7-6 ATS) Saint Joseph's Hawks and (10-5 SU, 7-8 ATS) Dayton Flyers will take the court on Wednesday for an Atlantic 10 Conference hoops matchup at UD Arena. The Hawks, 0-1 in conference play, lost 83-78 to Saint Louis in their last game. The Flyers, 2-0 in conference play, beat Davidson 69-55 on Saturday. Dayton beat St. Joe's 74-62 in their lone meeting last season. The Flyers are 24-19 all-time versus the Hawks.

Dayton will be without guards Kobe Elvis (10.1 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 3.0 APG) and Malachi Smith (5.3 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 4.5 APG), who are out indefinitely with lower body injuries. Saint Joe's freshman guard Christian Winborne (5.9 PPG) is not expected to play due to a lower leg ailment.

Tip-off from Dayton, OH, is at 7:00 p.m. ET. Dayton is a 15.5-point spread favorite, and the game total is 133 points.

 

Saint Joseph's has won three of its past five, picking up wins over Saint Peter's, Sacred Heart, and Central Connecticut. The Hawks dropped their most recent matchup to Saint Louis in their first conference game of the 2022-23 season. St. Joe's was led by Erik Reynolds II, who scored 18 points on 7-for-16 shooting.
