No. 12 Miami will be looking to extend its nine-game winning streak when it travels to Georgia Tech on Wednesday night. The Hurricanes have opened conference play with several impressive showings, including a 76-65 win at Notre Dame last Friday. Miami won its first four games this season before losing to Maryland in a neutral-site game on Nov. 20. The Hurricanes have responded with a nine-game winning streak, including four wins against conference opponents. They picked up a 66-64 win against then-No. 6 Virginia before Christmas, and they returned with a 76-65 win at Notre Dame last Friday. Miami has won its past two meetings with Georgia Tech and leads the all-time series 16-12. The Hurricanes are off to a 13-1 or better start for the sixth time in program history and the second time under coach Jim Larranaga. They are 4-0 in conference play for the second time in the past 10 years.

The Hurricanes have been a strong road team, winning eight straight regular-season road games and seven straight ACC road games. They are led by veteran guard Isaiah Wong, who moved into No. 11 on the program’s all-time scoring list when he had 15 points against Notre Dame. He has a school-record 889 career points against ACC teams and is averaging 23.8 points in his past five games. Wong leads a strong Miami offense that is No. 12 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings, as they are shooting 56.5% from 2-point range. The Hurricanes are inside the top 60 nationally in field goal percentage, turnover rate and offensive rebounding percentage. They are facing a Georgia Tech defense that is No. 83 in field goal percentage, No. 248 in turnover rate and No. 329 in offensive rebounding rate.
