Denver will try to extend its hot streak when it travels to Minnesota on Monday night. The Nuggets have won seven of their last eight games, including a 123-111 win against Boston on Sunday. Minnesota has lost six straight games, falling to Detroit in a disappointing loss on Saturday.

Denver got off to a mediocre start this season, going 14-10 through its first 24 games. The Nuggets have been outstanding since then, winning 10 of their last 12 games. Their lone losses came on the road against the Lakers and Kings. They bounced back from the latter of those setbacks with wins against Miami and Boston over the weekend in a pair of impressive performances. Denver was a 4.5-point favorite in its 124-119 win against Miami and was a 3.5-point underdog in its 123-111 win against Boston on Sunday. The Nuggets received another big game from Nikola Jokic, who tallied a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists.

Jokic hit 10 of 13 shots from the floor and knocked down all eight of his free throws in his ninth triple-double of the year. The Nuggets were red-hot from the floor, knocking down 17 of 30 from 3-point range. They have been one of the NBA’s best offensive teams throughout the season, ranked sixth in points per game (116.4). Jokic leads the team with 25.5 points, 10.9 rebounds and 9.5 assists. Second-leading scorer Jamal Murray missed Sunday’s game due to injury management, but he should be available on Monday night. Murray is averaging 18.2 points, while Aaron Gordon is chipping in 17.3 points. They are facing a Minnesota defense that is No. 22, allowing 115.9 points per game.
