Once Upon A Time in America Betting Show

The Michigan Wolverines play host to the Maryland Terrapins in a Big Ten showdown on Sunday afternoon from the Crisler Center. Maryland comes into this one having won two games in a row and is looking to work their way back into the top 25. for Michigan, back-to-back losses have them hoping to simply right the ship. Michigan won the single meeting between these two teams last season and with four wins in a row in the series, will be looking to keep that success going in this one.

Despite their struggles over the years against Michigan, Maryland hits the road for Sunday's game as a slight favorite. Part of that has to do with Michigan's struggles this season but the Terrapins haven't been bad themselves. A three-game losing streak was certainly concerning and even though they've bounced back well with back-to-back wins, the lack of quality in those two wins will keep the questions coming as they head back into the Big Ten portion of the schedule. Beyond that, the three losses have come to three high-end teams, so the Wolverines should be another relief opponent. With five of their 13 games have come on the road already this season, Maryland shouldn't be daunted in this one, though the lack of wins over the years against the Wolverines could be playing in their head.

It also should help matters that Maryland hits the road for this one without any injuries to worry about as we ll. With everyone healthy, depth could be a major advantage for the Terrapins in this one.

Maryland's offense has been strong at times this year and they'll be expecting to see an improvement against a Michigan team that struggles. Ranked 91st in the country in offensive rebounding, generating second-chance points could be enough to send them over the top in this one, especially with their struggles from the three-point line. In the end, though, the defense will be the difference for this group on the road. They come into this one top 40 nationally in scoring defense, field-goal percentage defense, and three-point percentage defense, which should translate well to the road. With four double-figure scorers to lean on, even a marginal defensive performance should give those four some freedom on the offensive end.
