Ohio State will play just its second true road game of the season when it travels to Northwestern on Sunday night. The Buckeyes faced then-No. 17 Duke at the end of November, losing by nine points in that matchup. They have won four of their five games since then, with their lone loss coming against North Carolina in overtime two weeks ago. Ohio State bounced back from that setback with a pair of blowout wins over Maine and Alabama A&M. The Buckeyes were at least 24-point favorites in both of those games, but they were able to cover the spread on both occasions.

They have been a strong offensive team this season, ranked third in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. Ohio State has been an outstanding shooting team, knocking down 37.3% of its 3-pointers and 55.5% of its 2-pointers. The Buckeyes also have the seventh-best offensive rebounding percentage in the country. They are facing a Northwestern defense that is outstanding, leading the nation in defensive 2-point percentage (37.9). Freshman forward Brice Sensabaugh leads the way with 15.8 points and 4.2 rebounds. The Buckeyes have three other players scoring in double figures, including Zed Key (13.6), Justice Sueing (13.6) and Bruce Thornton (10.8). Key is the team’s leading rebounder, pulling down 8.2 boards per game.
