The offense has stepped up but the defense has been one of the worst in the league, allowing 3.82 goals per game. Tyler Myers and Luke Schenn have combined for 2.8 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Spencer Martin has struggled in the net with a .886 save percentage and a 3.57 goals-against average on 568 shots.
