AAC league action kicks off on Thursday night for the South Florida Bulls and the Memphis Tigers. South Florida comes in at 7-6 overall and winners of five straight games. The South Florida Bulls finished out their non-conference schedule with a flourish in winning their final five games. The five straight wins have pushed the Bulls past .500 for the season at 7-6. In their last victory, the Bulls downed NJIT 92-73 at home. The win streak is now the longest since 2019 for South Florida and the 92 points were a season-high. Selton Miguel led the way with a career-high 23 points and added four assists. Tyler Harris tied his own season-high with 22 points, including six 3-pt field goals. Rounding out the top performers, Russel Tchewa had his first double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

“We had a lot of guys contribute tonight, and played really good complimentary basketball,” said head coach Brian Gregory. “This is one of the hardest games of the season to play with the holiday break right around the corner, but I was proud of our team's effort.”

The Bulls come into this matchup ranked 199th in field goal percentage overall and just 237th in 3pt field goal percentage. They are 76th in the country in rebounding and 237th in scoring overall. In the turnover department, South Florida is ranked 274th in turnovers per game. Defensively, USF is 32nd in opponent's field goal percentage overall, 230th in opponent's 3pt field goal percentage and 119th scoring defense. The Bulls are 273rd in forced turnovers.
