The Edmonton Oilers (18-15-1-1, 17-18 PL, 21-10 O/U) collide with the Calgary Flames (16-12-4-3, 14-21 PL, 17-17 O/U) in a divisional showdown on Tuesday night. The Oilers were pummelled by the Canucks on Tuesday. The Flames posted an overtime road win against the Ducks in their previous bout. The season series is all even at 1-1

The Edmonton Oilers are on the road for the next two games. They recorded a big road win against the Stars on Wednesday but allowed a 2-0 lead to slip away in an ugly 5-2 home loss to the Canucks on Friday night. The Oilers are having a disappointing season so far and are now out of a playoff spot. They stand at only 4-4-2 in their last ten games. 

Connor McDavid found the back of the net for this 30th goal of the season on Friday. The 25-year-old superstar has accumulated a stunning 25 points in December and leads the NHL with 66 points on the year. McDavid has four points in two games against the Flames this season. Leon Draisaitl has also been outstanding. The 27-year-old center has accrued 20 points in December and has posted at least one point in all but three games this month. Draisaitl has collected 56 points on the year. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins ha s seven points in his last five games. The 29-year-old is on pace to have the best season of his career. He has registered 41 points. 

The Oilers have started Stuart Skinner in two straight games as Jack Campbell continues to struggle. Campbell has logged an abysmal 4.03 GAA and an .876 save % while Skinner has posted a 2.90 GAA and a .911 save % on the season. Edmonton is scoring an average of 3.6 goals, good for third. They are conceding an average of 3.5 goals, placing them 24th.
