Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Rams Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-25-2022

The LA Rams play host to the Denver Broncos in a Christmas showdown from SoFi Stadium. While this game isn't likely to mean much as the season draws to an end, it still is one worth tuning into. The Broncos were able to grab the win last week to snap their five-game skid, while the Rams only have one win in their last eight games. The last time these two teams squared off was all the way back in 2018 and with both teams looking quite a bit different now as compared to then, this one could certainly go either way.

Much was expected of the Broncos this season, especially with some of their off-season additions, though reality hasn't followed along. Denver sits with a 4-10 record and is in last place in the AC West, a division that they had high hopes of winning this season. A win last week against Arizona helped to snap a five-game skid, though they have struggled to string together consecutive strong games this season. Being at home for each of the last two games has been nice but going on the road for this one is likely to cause some issues. The Broncos are winless on the road this season and while the Rams have had their own struggles to navigate, it seems unlikely that Denver will suddenly change their mindset on the road for this one. With games looming against the Chiefs and Chargers to close out the season, this might be their last opportunity at a win.

The most notable name on the injury report continues to be Russel l Wilson (concussion) who is probable for this tilt. Beyond him though, Courtland Sutton (hamstring) remains questionable and Javonte Williams (knee) remains out, both hurting their offensive outlook. On the defensive side of things, Randy Gregory (knee) is questionable, while Dakota Allen (hamstring) has already been ruled out.

The defense for Denver remains one of the best units in the league and even with some of their injuries, should continue to cause problems for the Rams in this one. The question remains how this group will perform on the offensive end, as that is likely to dictate this game. They rank last in the league in scoring and against a LA defense that has its own talents, it could be trouble. Denver will need a big game out of Latavius Murray, though with his own injury designation, the running back room could be in trouble if he can't go. Look for Jerry Jeudy to get quite a few touches but could struggle as the lone recieving option.
