Bowl season'is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the postseason once again is the Buffalo Bulls, who will'face Georgia Southern in the Camellia Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 27.'

Buffalo Bowl Game History

Buffalo is an infrequent participant when it comes to the college football postseason. The Bulls have played in five bowls across the school's history prior to facing Georgia Southern.

The Bulls were set to make their first bowl appearance in 1958 but declined the invitation when their two black players weren't allowed to participate. They went on to make their bowl debut at the 2008 International Bowl in a 38-20 loss to UConn.

Buffalo has had more of a bowl presence in recent years, qualifying for four games since 2018 (including this year). The Bulls' last showing went off without a hitch, picking up a 17-10 victory over Marshall at the 2020 Camellia Bowl.
