NFL Week 16 starts up with a very interesting Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Jets and the Jacksonville Jaguars. On paper this game seems pretty straightforward for DFS showdown contests, but we now also have to factor in the weather. As of publishing time, we are expecting to see rain throughout the game with winds blowing somewhere in the 12-15 mph range. The wind won't have much of an effect outside the kicking game at MetLife Stadium, but the rain could make things difficult for offenses. A slick field and a slick ball will likely shorten up the passing attacks of both teams and can a lso create plenty of turnovers. Does that push you towards using team defenses? Probably. But you still have to fill out the rest of your DFS lineup.

While the Jets' defense is strong against the run, we could see some vulnerability between the inclement weather and the injury to Quinnen Williams who may still play but won't be at 100-percent if he does. Etienne was slumping for a few weeks but got back on-track last week with a 100-yard effort against the Cowboys. He will be tasked with shouldering the load in this game and should be a solid option in the top spot.
