Detroit Mercy knows that Horizon League play is just around the corner and they need to get things cranked up before league play starts. The Titans exchanged leads with Charlotte throughout the game and led by two with less than two minutes to go in overtime before Charlotte took the lead for good with a 3-pt field goal. Antoine Davis made history in the game by reaching the 3,000 career point mark in the contest and also tied his own school record with 10 3pt field goals in the game. He finished with 36 points, including 10-of-17 from long distance. Gerald Liddell added 13 points and pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds in the loss. Overall, Detroit Mercy his 17 3pt field goals, one short of the school record.
