The San Jose Spartans bring their 8-3 record to Pacific on Saturday, looking to win their third straight game. They have won four out of five games overall and are 2-1 on the road this season. Last Saturday, the Spartans took care of Santa Clara 75-64 at home. Omari Moore led the way with 24 points and Sage Tolbert III had 18 points and 12 rebounds, including 4-of-4 from 3pt range, to earn his third double-double of the season. After trailing by eight points at the half, the Spartans came alive to outscore Santa Clara 46-27 in the second half. The Spartans knocked down 61% of their shots in the second half comeback.

Moore's decision to return to San Jose State this season has thus far been a success. The NBA prospect has been scouted frequently and he has the Spartans on track to possibly earn an NCAA Tournament berth this season. He leads the team in scoring, steals and assists and is second in rebounding. The team is scoring just 70 points per game while allowing 67 per contest. San Jose State's defense has shined this season, holding team's under 40% from the field overall. They have allowed teams to shoot 37% from 3pt range so they need to improve on getting out on shooters. They have dominated the glass, with nearly 39 rebounds per game and a +10.5 rebounding differential. They are only forcing 7.5 turnovers per game while committing 12.5 turnovers themselves.
