Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-17-2022

NFL Show

The hard-charging Milwaukee Bucks go for another W Saturday as they play host to the scrappy Utah Jazz. The Bucks are 20-8 and have the second best record in the NBA while the Jazz have exceeded all expectations so far and are 17-14 this year. These two foes split two games last season, but the Jazz have won 3 of the last 4 head to head meetings.

No one expected the Utah Jazz to be 17-14 31 games into the season, except maybe the mom of 34 year old rookie head coach Will Hardy. But outside of Mrs. Hardy, no one saw this coming. The Jazz are on a particularly good run as of late as they took two straight games from the best team in the Western Conference, the New Orleans Pelicans. They beat the Pelicans 121-100 on Tuesday and then turned around and beat them again, 132-129 in overtime on Thursday night at home.

The Jazz were trailing by 5 late in the fourth quarter, but made a late push to send it to overtime. Then they carried that momentum into the extra period to walk away with a win. Jordan Clarkson went off for 39 points with 7 three pointers while Lauri Markkanen added 31 points with 5 threes. Malik Beasley added 17 points while Kelly Olynyk chipped in with 14. The Jazz are now 17-14, 7th in the Western Conference, 3.5 games behind the first place Grizzlies. The Jazz are the second highest scoring team in the NBA and thy rank 23rd in points allowed.
