The Austin Peay Governors will cross the border and take on the Murray State Racers in non-conference action this Friday from the CFSB Center.
Austin Peay moved to 6-5 after defeating Tennessee State at home. The Governors used a big second half to defeat their in-state foes for the third time in a row, outscoring the Tigers 47-25 in the second half.
Austin Peay is scoring 71.5 ppg, while shooting 42.5% from the field and 34.3% from three. APU has played through the absence of leading scorer Shon Robinson, and they’ve leaned on-to second-year center Elijah Hutchins-Everett, who now leads the team in scoring (13.5) and rebounding (6.8). Mizzou transfer Sean Durugordon scored a game-high 24 points in the win over TSU, and he’s averaging 11.8 ppg and 5.5 rpg.
