Although they did lose in that stretch to Southern Illinois and University of Central Florida. They were solid favorites in both of those losses. Then they played some tougher competition, getting blown out by No. 1 UConn 74-54 and losing at Virginia Tech on Tuesday night, 70-65 as a 2.5 point underdog, at the Hall of Fame Invitational  tournament in Brooklyn, NY.

In the loss to Virginia Tech, the Cowboys outshot Virginia Tech, but the difference was fouls and turnovers. The Cowboys turned it over 6 more times than Tech and made, and attempted, 5 fewer free throws. Avery Anderson led Oklahoma State with 15 points and 4 assists with 3 three pointers while Kalib Boone added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Mousse Cisse added 12 points and 7 boards. Anderson leads the team with 12.8 points and 3.1 assists while Cisse is tops with 10.4 boards per game. The Cowboys are ranked No. 36 in the country by KenPom.
