Minnesota Wild -1.5 (-145) over Chicago Blackhawks

There are times where it can work out to predict an upset when a team seems “due” for a win. However, the Blackhawks have simply shown zero signs of a team that can defeat even the weakest teams in the NHL. That's exactly what they've been, especially recently. It was Chicago that just allowed a hat trick to Alex Ovechkin to reach 800 career goals in what was ultimately a 7-3 home loss. Now the Blackhawks have to travel to Minnesota to take on a Wild team that has been at home since Monday, winning both of their games in that span.'

They've been ascending in the Central Division, while Chicago couldn't be sinking any lower. The Blackhawks have just 7 wins on the season, and only the Anaheim Ducks have more losses. However, it's Chicago that's been even worse than the Ducks as of late. Not only are the 'Hawks just 1-8-1 in their last 10 games, they are allowing the most goals per game over the last month, and it's not even close. They're giving up 4.5 goals per game since November 16, while the Wild have scored the 7th-most in that same time frame. There's simply no reason to expect anything but a convincing Minnesota win tonight.'
