The New York Islanders face the Arizona Coyotes with both teams looking to improve from rough stretches. The Islanders have a 17-12-1 record and with two losses in a row have fallen to the middle of the Metropolitan Division. The Coyotes have a 9-14-4 record and with only three wins in the last 10 games are at the bottom of the Central Division. Both teams are looking to rebound from tough skids and improve within their divisions and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Islanders' offense has been great all season, scoring 3.17 goals per game but recently, the unit has struggled, scoring only three goals in the last two games. Brock Nelson, Mathew Barzal, and Anders Lee have scored 26 goals and 55 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has fallen off recently. The hope is that Josh Bailey and Oliver Wahlstrom can step up as they play a pivotal role in the forward unit but have only added 12 goals and 13 assists to the offense thus far.

The offense has struggled but the defense has continued to play well, allowing only 2.77 goals per game. Ryan Pulock and Alexander Romanov have combined for 3.6 defensive point shares and 115 blocked shots while Scott Mayfield, Noah Dobson, and Sebastian Aho have combined for 3.3 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Ilya Sorokin has been great in the net with a&# xA0;.925 save percentage and a 2.36 goals-against average on 601 shots.
