The Arkansas Pine-Bluff will travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in non-conference action this Wednesday from the Williams Arena on the Big Ten Network.
Arkansas Pine-Bluff fell to 3-8 after losing to Texas in Austin. The Golden Lions were no match for an angry Longhorn team, and they were sent home with a 45-point spanking. UAPB scores 61.2 points per game, while allowing 71.2 ppg, and shooting 38.4% from the field. The Golden Lions have served as a punching bag for Division I basketball this season, and there’s been little pulse. Four-year starter Shaun Doss leads the team in scoring at 17.1 ppg.
Minnesota dropped to 4-6 after losing to Mississippi State at home. The Gophers had a golden opportunity to add a notable non-conference win, and they struggled against the Bulldogs, falling 69-51. Minnesota is scoring 63.1 points per game, while allowing 69.1 ppg, and shooting 41.9% from the floor.
