The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks will head to Ruston and battle the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs in non-conference action this Wednesday from the Thomas Center on ESPN.
S.F. Austin is 5-4 after losing to Northwestern State at home. The Lumberjacks and the Demons went at it in a shootout, before the visitors would pull away for the six-point win. SFA scores 79.2 points per game, while allowing 66.1 ppg, and shooting 48.1% from the field.
The Lumberjacks are led by their guard play in the backcourt once again this season. Sadaidriene Hall leads the team in scoring at 13.2 ppg after going 9/10 from the floor in the win over Paul Quinn. Former KU transfer Latrell Josell (12.6 ppg) returned in the win on Sunday, and Nigel Hawkins went off in his absence. The senior guard scored 25 points in the win over South Dakota State, and he’s third on the team in scoring at 12.1 ppg. Junior forward Nana Antwi-Boasiako is SFA’s workhorse, leading the team in minutes and rebounding (5.6), while scoring 9.3 ppg.
