Nashville Predators (12-11-2) vs. St. Louis Blues (12-15-0)

Monday night’s betting action brings the Central Division showdown between the Nashville Predators and St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center in Saint Louis, Missouri, with the puck drop at 8:00 PM ET.

Nashville and St. Louis lock horns for the second time this season, and the Blues open as slight home favorites. Back in October, the Predators dismantled the Blues 6-2 as -175 home favorites with a total of 6.0 goals to snap a three-game skid against St. Louis.

After putting an end to their three-game winning streak with a 5-2 defeat at the Tampa Bay Lightning this past Thursday, the Nashville Predators lost to the Ottawa Senators 3-2 as -135 home favorites on Saturday afternoon. The Predators took the first blood against Ottawa, as Yakov Trenin notched his second goal of the season, but the Senators turned the game on its head with three straight goals. The Sens outshot the Preds 33-29 and went 2-for-6 with the man advantage, while Nashville converted zero of its four power-play opportunities.

“I think we were in total control for 40 minutes of the game, and then we made some mistakes, which we made consistently already,” Trenin said. “Once we fix those, we going to be a better team.” & #13;

Juuse Saros has guarded the cage in Nashville’s previous two games, posting 30 stops against Ottawa and 27 versus Tampa Bay. The 27-year-old netminder is now 9-8-2 with a 3.05 GAA and .905 save percentage in 2022-23, while Kevin Lankinen sits at 3-3-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .934 save percentage for the season.

The Predators rank 16th in the NHL in goals against (3.08 per game) and 29th in goals for (2.60). They are 15-for-90 with the man advantage, enough for the fifth-worst power-play percentage in the league. The Predators are 23rd in the NHL in 5-on-5 high-danger scoring chances (47.3%) and own the fourth-worst shooting percentage (8.6%).
