The Los Angeles Kings face the Columbus Blue Jackets with both teams looking to improve from rocky starts to the season. The Kings have a 15-11-4 record and are in the middle of the Pacific Division while the Blue Jackets have a 9-15-2 record and are in last place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams are looking to improve from rough starts to the season and make up ground in their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Kings have looked promising this season behind an offense that is scoring 3.31 goals per game. Kevin Fiala and Anze Kopitar have scored 16 goals and 38 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Drew Doughty and Michael Anderson have combined for 3.2 defensive point shares and 82 blocked shots but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to carry the puck into the offensive zone and create open shots on the net.
