Chicago Bulls (10-14) vs. Atlanta Hawks (13-13)

The 2022-23 NBA season goes on Sunday, December 11, with the Eastern Conference showdown from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, so here’s the best Bulls vs. Hawks betting pick along with the latest odds update.

Chicago meets Atlanta for the first time this season. The Hawks are without John Collins (ankle) and Dejounte Murray (ankle), while De’Andre Hunter (hip) is questionable to play. On the other side, the Bulls miss Lonzo Ball (knee).

Saturday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 10-14 Chicago Bulls hosted the Dallas Mavericks as 2-point favorites, searching for their second straight victory. Last Wednesday, the Bulls stopped a three-game slide with a 115-111 home victory against the Washington Wizards. They failed to cover a 5-point spread in what was a tight battle for all 48 minutes.

The Bulls made 50.0% of their field goals against Washington and went 10-for-23 from beyond the arc. They handed out 29 assists and committed 19 turnovers but struggled to defend, allowing a thumping 60 points in the paint. DeMar DeRozan led the way for Chicago with 27 points including 15 in the fourth quarter, while Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic accounted for 25 points apiece. Vucevic also had 11 r ebounds and made three of his five attempts from downtown.

“Vucevic, I thought really played a great game tonight from start to finish. He was really efficient. I thought he had everything going. He posted up, hit some midrange and obviously he hit some 3s,” Bulls coach Billy Donovan said. “I give DeMar and Zach a lot of credit because they struggled to shoot the ball at the level they are normally used to, accustomed to shooting the basketball.”

The Bulls own the seventh-lowest offensive rating in the NBA (110.2 points per 100 possessions) even though they shoot 47.1% from the field (tied-14th in the league). Chicago takes the fewest 3-point attempts per 100 possessions (28.0). The Bulls allow 111.3 points per 100 possessions (7th) on 47.7% shooting from the field (tied-23rd) and 37.3% from beyond the 3-point line (24th).
