The UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will put their undefeated record on the line when they host the Washington State Cougars in non-conference action this weekend from the MGM Grand on FS1.
Washington State improved to 4-4 after defeating Northern Kentucky at home. The Cougars were about to hop back into the win column after dropping their first two Pac 12 games with a 21-point victory. Washington State is scoring 71.8 points per game, while shooting 44.9% from the field, and 36.8 from three.
Wazzu is powered by the inside-out pairing of TJ Bamba and Mouhamed Gueye. Bamba, a third-year guard, scored a game-high 22 points in the win over NKU, and he leads the Cougs in scoring (16.4). Gueye, a 6’11 sophomore, has posted consecutive double-doubles and he leads the team in boards at 7.6 rpg, while scoring 14.3 ppg.
