The Yale Bulldogs will travel to Lexington and face the Kentucky Wildcats in non-conference action this weekend from the Rupp Arena on the SEC Network.
Yale dropped to 8-2 after losing to Butler in Indianapolis. Yale fell behind early, and failed to trim Butler’s lead after the break, losing the battle of Bulldogs by ten points. Yale is scoring 78.3 points per game, while shooting 49.1% from the field, and 34.5% from deep.
Matt Knowling’s second year leap has been a big part of Yale’s early season success. The junior forward posted four 20-point performances in the first six games, and he leads Yale in scoring (16.2). Fellow sophomore guard John Poulakidas scored 26 points in the lone loss to Colorado, and he’s second on the team in scoring at 10.8 ppg.
