The Auburn Tigers (8-0, 4-4 ATS, 3-5 O/U) battle the Memphis Tigers (7-2, 5-4 ATS, 5-4 O/U) in an inter-conference battle on Saturday afternoon. Auburn posted a dominating home win against Colgate in their previous action. Memphis logged a home win against Little Rock on Tuesday. These foes last met in 2020 in a game Auburn won by a 74-71 score.

The Auburn Tigers remain perfect. They have won all eight games on the season including victories against Northwestern and Saint Louis propelled by stifling defense. The Tigers were labeled as big 13-point dogs in a dominating 93-66 home win against Colgate on Friday night. Their closest game so far was a narrow 43-42 win against Northwestern. Auburn has been a double-digit favorite in six of eight games and covered the spread in only four games all season.

Wendell Green Jr. has reached the 20-point mark twice this season. The junior guard has shot at least 50% in three out of his last four games and is sporting an average of 13.4 PPG and 3.8 APG. Johni Broome has scored double-digits in all but two bouts. The sophomore forward is known for his outstanding defense. Broome is averaging 10.9 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and a remarkable 3.4 blocks per game. K.D. Johnson sc ored 16 points in the win against Colgate. The junior guard was a key player last year and but his production has dipped slightly this season. Johnson is posting an average of 10.5 PPG on 39.7% shooting. Jaylen Williams (8.4 PPG) is questionable.

Auburn is marked 15th in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and climbed four spots to the #11 mark in this week’s AP Top 25. The Tigers scoring isn’t their strength. They are only shooting 43.3% as a team and struggled from three-point range. They are scoring an average of 73 points, ranking them 173rd. The defense is among the best, limiting foes to only 58 points, good for 15th in DI.
