The New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at T-Mobile Park. On Monday it was the Yankees that were able to secure the win because of the offense.
The Yankees sit with a 71-39 record overall and maybe Monday’s win was all they needed for their confidence. Since the All-Star Break, the Yankees haven’t been as dominant, and they hope this series wit the Mariners will get them back on track. Overall the offense is still ranked 1st in the league averaging 5.31 runs per game. Aaron Judge has hit 43 home runs and driven in 97 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Mariners who sit with a 59-52 record overall but they have lost two of their last three games. The Mariners are in the middle of the playoff race, and every win and loss at this point is crucial. The Mariners have leaned on the pitching and they are giving up only 3.89 runs per game which is 5th best in the league.
