The Michigan Wolverines (13-0) and TCU Horned Frogs (12-1) will play on December 31, 2022, starting at 4:00 PM ET in the Fiesta Bowl for a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship.

In their most recent game, the Wolverines defeated the Purdue Boilermakers 43-22. The Horned Frogs’ last game ended in a 31-28 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats. J.J. McCarthy threw for 161 yards, with three touchdowns and one interception on 11-of-17 passing (64.7%) for the Wolverines in that matchup against the Boilermakers. Donovan Edwards took 25 carries for 185 yards (7.4 yards per carry) and one touchdown, while adding one reception for four yards in the passing game. Ronnie Bell had five receptions for 67 yards (13.4 per catch) and one touchdown against the Boilermakers. Max Duggan put up 251 passing yards while going 18-for-36 with one touchdown and one interception for the Frogs against the Wildcats. He added 15 carries for 110 yards and one touchdown. Kendre Miller carried the ball 17 times for 82 yards (4.8 yards per attempt) with one touchdown. In the passing game, he added two catches for one yard. Quentin Johnston recorded four catches for 139 yards (on seven t argets).

The Horned Frogs are 9-point underdogs against the Wolverines (the game has an over/under of 60 points).
