A pair of Eastern Conference teams looking to gain some positive momentum take the floor in search of a victory down in the Big Apple. The Orlando Magic are on the road as they make the trip to face the Brooklyn Nets Monday night. Orlando was in action at home against Philadelphia Sunday evening in the front half of a back-to-back set. The Magic lost 107-99 to Philadelphia at home Friday night, losing outright as a 1.5-point favorite, in their previous contest. Brooklyn was at home against Portland Sunday afternoon in the front half of their back-to-back set. The Nets were dumped 128-117 by Indiana on the road Friday night, losing outright as a 3.5-point favorite. In the all-time regular season series between the teams, the Magic own a 68-55 advantage but the Nets took three of four meetings last season, including a 150-108 road win in the most recent meeting on March 18, 2022.

Orlando is a putrid 1-8 on the road this season while posting a -8.5-ppg scoring differential (104.1 ppg for, 112.6 ppg against) in those contests. The Magic are 0-2 in the second game of back-to-back situations with a -3.5-ppg scoring margin (116.5 ppg for, 120 ppg against) in those contests. Orlando is 2-9 against Eastern Conference foes entering Sunday with a -5.5-ppg scoring differential (105.5 ppg for, 111 ppg against) in those conests.

Jonathan Isaac (hamstring) remains out with no timetable for return at this point. Anthony (oblique) is out with no timetable to return at the moment as well. Markelle Fultz (toe) did return to practice this week and was deemed questionable for Sunday night. Carter Jr. (foot) has missed four of the last five games, including three straight, while Okeke (ankle) missed Friday’s game against the 76ers. Both of those players are considered day-to-day. Harris (illness) and Suggs (ankle) were also questionable for Sunday night so watch for updates before tip-off.
