The Blackhawks were hit with another defeat, this time against the Penguins. The Stars lost in a shootout against the Avalanche on Tuesday. Dallas went 3-0 against Chicago last season.

The Chicago Blackhawks enter this challenging bout looking to end a four-game losing streak. All four defeats were against strong foes, losing to the Hurricanes, Blues, Bruins, and were pegged with a 5-3 home loss against the Penguins in their previous action on Sunday night. The Blackhawks have been sharing the duties between Arvid Soderblom and Petr Mrazek. Soderblom was in the net in Sunday's loss and has logged a 3.19 GAA and a .909 save %. Mrazek has only played six games and has struggled, posting a 3.66 GAA and an .889 save %. Chicago is scoring an average of only 2.4 goals, pegging them last.
