The Northern Illinois Huskies (3-8) host a MAC battle against the Akron Zips (1-9) on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Brigham Field at Huskie Stadium.
In their last outing, the Huskies were defeated by the Miami (OH) RedHawks 29-23. The Zips’ last game was a 34-28 loss to the Eastern Michigan Eagles. In that matchup with the RedHawks, Nevan Cremascoli had 165 yards on 14-of-22 passing (63.6%) for the Huskies, with two touchdowns and one interception. Antario Brown carried the ball five times for 97 yards (19.4 yards per carry) with one touchdown on the ground. Kacper Rutkiewicz recorded four receptions for 80 yards (averaging 20.0 per catch), while scoring one touchdown against the RedHawks. Jeff Undercuffler threw for 133 yards for the Zips against the Eagles, going 8-for-18 (44.4%) with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Cam Wiley carried the ball 18 times for 144 yards (8.0 yards per attempt) with three touchdowns. In the passing game, he added four catches for 34 yards. Alex Adams caught six passes for 102 yards (17.0 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.
The Zips are heavy, 10-point underdogs against the Huskies (the game has an over/under of 53.5 points).
