New York Yankees at St. Louis Cardinals – 8/6/22 MLB Picks and Prediction

The New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals face off on Saturday in an MLB showdown at Busch Stadium. On Friday it was St. Louis that was able to secure the 4-3 victory.

The Yankees sit with a 70-37 record overall but they have shown some holes the last couple of weeks that need to be fixed quickly. On Friday it was the bullpen that blew the game late. The Yankees offense is the top in baseball averaging 5.35 runs per game. The pitching hasn’t been as dominant the last week, but they are still ranked 3rd in the league. Aaron Judge should be named the MVP after the season is over and he has hit 43 home runs and driven in 93 RBIs. Anthony Rizzo was scratched on Friday night and it’s unclear his status.

On the other side of this matchup is the St. Louis Cardinals who sit with a 58-48 record overall and they have won five games in a row. The Cardinals still aren’t being talked about enough for how they have looked this season. The Cardinals offense is averaging 4.65 runs per game which is 6th in the league. Paul Goldschmidt is having a monster season hitting 26 home runs and driving in 82 RBIs.
