Houston's victory on Friday came without their manager Dusty Baker who has tested positive for COVID-19. Trey Mancini, who was acquired from the Baltimore Orioles at the trade deadline, made a big impact, hitting a solo home run that tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning and crushed a third-inning grand slam that blew the game open 6-1 in the third. Jose Altuve, Yuri Gurriel, Yordan Alvarez, and Martin Maldonado each drove in a run in the victory.
The Astros will go for their fourth straight win Saturday, sending Luis Garcia (8-7, 3.81 ERA) to the mound. Garcia has a 2-4 record, but an impressive 2.72 ERA on the road this season.
