Northern Arizona at Texas – 11/21/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks and Texas Longhorns face off on Monday in a college basketball showdown at Bert Ogden Stadium. This is the first meeting played between the two teams in recent history.

Northern Arizona comes into this game with a 2-3 record but they have gone 3-0-1 against the spread. In the last game against UCSB they looked good giving up only 54 points, and that led to the nine point victory. Against Utah Valley earlier in the season they were defeated 73-69. Northern Arizona is averaging 72 points while their defense is giving up 66.6 points per game. Jalen Cone has been the top player for Northern Arizona averaging 12.4 points while shooting 38.2 percent from the field and 30.3 percent from behind the three point line.

On the other side of this matchup is Texas who sits with a 3-0 record and they have gone 2-1 against the spread. In the last game against the Gonzaga Bulldogs, Texas had one of the more impressive wins of the early season. The offense scored 93 points and that was enough to win by 19 points. Texas is averaging 82.3 points while their defense is giving up 54 points per game. Guard Tyrese Hunter is averaging 18 points while shooting 59.4 percent from the field and 40 percent from behind the three point line. I would expect Texas is going to try and run up the pace again here.
